A reading-based program that develops infants'
language thinking skills
PlayCogni is a reading-based linguistic thinking skill program designed to help children develop
their verbal communication skill and creativity by engaging them in various reading activities
that use the thematic picture books and teaching tools tailored to young children aged 5-7.
● Configuration
- Level 1 (5 years old): 11 materials in total. (2 kinds of picture books, one workbook,
one learning tool for special materials,
one learning tool for paper, one guide for parents, one teacher's book,
one picture book, and one e-book of math fairy tales per month).
- Level 2 (6 years old): a total of 11 materials. (2 kinds of picture books, one workbook,
one learning tool for special materials and one learning tool for paper,
one guide for parents, one teacher book, one picture book and
one e-book with mathematical fairy tales are provided per month).
- Level 3(7 years old): 11 materials in total. (2 kinds of picture books, one workbook,
one learning tool for special materials and one learning tool for paper, one guide for parents,
one teacher book, one picture book, and one e-book with mathematical fairy tales are provided each month).
● Features
1. Curriculum related to Nuri Curriculum
- Physical exercise, health, communication, social relationships, art experience
and nature exploration of the Nuri Curriculum and personality, creativity, science,
culture and art of the picture books were connected and reflected in the curriculum.
2. Thematic picture books tailored to infants
- It consists of books by writers and painters who were honored with the world-renowned book awards,
and was reviewed by Professor Kim Chang-bok of Seoul National College of Education.
We propose interesting thematic picture books about personality, creativity,
natural science, and cultural arts that appeal to infants.
3. Development of comprehensive thinking.
- Through interesting play activities such as reading activities, reading activities using workbooks,
play-based learning with structural and unstructured teaching tools, and multimedia fairy tale video e-book,
we promote the development of comprehensive thinking(cognition) in young children,
including convergent thinking, divergent thinking, and rational thinking.
